We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
This place had a For Sale sign and a No Trespassing sign in a sad old farming town in rural Connecticut. It has a couple of barns, sits on around 8 acres. Probably needs a little work.
I associate the roof trimmings and the porch with the Victorian era, sort of a transition between the Federal style and full blown Victorian gingerbread, so I would think that one might find some houses of a similar design in the Pacific NW. One problem with finding such houses in the NW is that if they were built in urban areas, they were most likely demolished to make way for taller buildings.
