Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

An unlikely demon

The Chamber of Commerce does seem to be an unlikely demon. Schieffer asks "Is this the best you can do?"

The poor democrats have run out of persons and businesses to demonize. Why pick on the businesses that are needed to restart the economy? The US Chamber of Commerce is big and little businesses; the local chamber is main street USA. How many more people can the democrats alienate? JP

When the lefties lose Bob Schieffer from CBS...it's time for them to shout some new propaganda. Blame capitalism for the sun rising in the east for example. "Look, there's the sun. Would we lie to you?"
