Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

More Wellfleet, MA architecture

More of my pics taken last week. Nice little town, Wellfleet. Resident population 2700. Nothing fancy about it. Unpretentious summer getaway with more spots to swim and beach than anywhere I know of, but it is not for those who require warm water.

Man, you keep teasing me.... I was just having the 'boat' conversation via I.M. with a coworker and living aboard a boat. Keep this stuff up and I may get that divorce yet.

Not Aesop's anymore huh (upstairs bar a hangout for me for many many years)? Oh well nothing stays forever. Even Ye Olde Helpee Selfee Laundree, later (still?) the Lobster Hut, looks different.

I think the restaurant is Winslow's now, haven't eaten there. Emack and Bolios make excellent ice cream, had some of the Peach, Strawberry, and Chocolate Moose this week, but at the Orleans shop. Really fine stuff, and I've been making fine ice cream for years so I recognize the posers from the good stuff.

Ben and Jerry's is overly sweet, gummy trash. Emack has the cream and ice proportions just right, nothing but clean, clear flavors, too. Yum!
