We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
This works better and faster than pandering to crybabies and others who don't take responsibility. At several distraught junctures in my life, the advice, "So, change it," worked quick and well.
Mr Kesler, good advise, just change it. Some people, as shown in the Geico commercial have lost their common sense and believe that naval-gazing with no action is the way to go.
I did therapy for nearly three years. At the end I decided it was a crock. Maybe it's ok short term if you are having a traumatic issue, but for long term it's BS.
