We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
A friend was enthusing about (Habanos) Romeo y Julietas the other day. He views them as the best brand. Photo is their medium strength 42 ring gauge Corona - a good "starter cigar." Now that cigar appreciation is no longer the yuppie fad that it had been for a while, it's OK to enjoy them again.
Well, at least your friend enjoys cigars.
R&J (in the 'states) is no longer a 1st tier cigar - it's almost been reduced to a JR "house brand" by the clueless who run Imperial Tobacco (owners of Altadis).
Fortunatly, we seem to be in the midst of a mild cigar renaissance - with any number of good quality cigars available for reasonable prices, and a somewhat surprising range of shapes & flavors.
Now as to a "real" R&J... they're quite good. Not Fuente good, but close.
