... And another thing. I agree that 'retard' is an ignorant and unattractive descriptor. But, maybe it's my generation or something, I feel that the 'f' word is not a word to be used in intelligent conversation. So, Rahm Emanuel doubly sinned, in my opinion.

I remember back when we wrote letters, my father telling me that I should "never write something in a letter that I didn't want to see in print." That was good advice then, and even better advice now that there's an Internet. Anything one writes on the Internet should be considered to last forever, because it mostly does. And twenty years from now, when I'm gone to that great greenhouse in the sky, I don't want to be remembered for swearing obscenely rather than thinking clearly.
