Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

First half-decent snowfall, plus random New England snow photos

The bulk of the snow fell south of New England, but I think we have enough here to last through Christmas.

What a lovely posting, Bird Dog. The photographs are gorgeous [snow always is until it gets dirty] the food and friendship shown look equally delicious. You are so very lucky to live in a part of our country which does Winter Wonderland so well. Merry Christmas to you and all the maggiesfarmers, and don't quit having fun.

Japs - I'd say the answer to #9 is both B and D. They're referred to as both kings and "wise men", i.e., sages.

That "[T]he bulk of the snow fell south of New England" will come as a surprise to those of us on the southern New England coast who awoke to two feet of the stuff in the driveway. No need to dream about it. White it is this year.

Glad we missed that snow. We had 9 or 10" on the ground but fortunately most of it is gone. Unfortunately we are supposed to get another 6" Christmas Eve. Dreaming of a White Christmas? Bah! Humbug!
