We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Come Look at Both of Our Buildings!
Detroit gets all the attention as America’s signature urban failure. But let’s not forget Cleveland: H/T: Maggie’s Farm
Cleveland, where we have streetlights on forest trails.
The Cavaliers got a country stadium without having to move.
The Indians used to play their games in rural settings, now so do the Cleveland Indians.
Cleveland, where oak groves take the place of business.

I am now at a time in my life where I can look back on my mother's life and be so proud of her. She grew up in Cleveland during the depression and immediately after WWII she got a divorce, packed up her car and drove to California (1949). She went looking for the job at the end of the rainbow in Los Angeles. What she did there was open her own little two chair beauty parlor close to the airplane assembly plant. She kept both of those chairs filled and never hired an assistant. She did hair for the women working in those plants on both shifts: day and late day shifts. My mom worked 5 days a week and managed to keep us in a nice tidy little house. In 1952 she bought a new car (Kaiser) and in 1954 she wanted to see what it looked like down there in Mexico. She and her new husband drove from LA to Mexico City by themselves--totally unprepared. But she chased off the bad guys when they were trying to strip down her new car, and they drove home with her very sick with traveller's tummy. But, what she talked about was not the inconveniences. No, my mom talked about what she had witnessed--too many people, too much poverty, beautiful library and museums, bad roads, etc. My mom worked and supported herself and several others until she was 82. I believe she may have completed 7th grade. She never smoked, drank, and seldom swore (never the F word). She did not go to church, but made darn sure I did. SHE was LIBERATED without any of her sisters helping out. She was a woman who could and did stand alone and the first step she took was to leave Cleveland and family!
Spent the longest two years of my life existing and working in Cleveland... took that long to arrange a transfer to somewhere else. My wife still tells the tale of shoveling the driveway four times in one day and still having an inch of snow covering it when I arrived home. I still remember coming home from a road trip the first week of May (one year 1984 I think) and there still being a small snow pile still on the lawn.
But, as everywhere we have lived, we met and made friends with some great people, one couple we met there (they now live in Nashville... Cleveland! A great place to be FROM!) we still trade birthday and Christmas cards with 25 years later.
You need to just relax. Let it come as it will. If after raenxilg, you aren’t getting what you want from her – tell her. Be honest, upfront, and make sure you’re both on the same page about your relationship boundaries.Sometimes people aren’t good together after realizing what else is out there. Not to say either of you aren’t “good” enough for each other, but, you both deserve to be happy right? You aren’t being controlling, and the natural feeling of being obsessive towards her will go away with time. So, again, my short answer is to tell her exactly how you feel, or, be content with how things are.Let us know what happens after you talk, if you’d like.
Ha Ha !!! Funny thing is Cleveland has alot going for it. A whole lot more than the ganglands of LA. The guy that put that together is a typical democrat punk. Maybe you should check out his other video. People are coming back to Ohio and we will take all our boomers back with open arms. They can get world class healthcare, affordable safe housing and take a boat ride on our beautiful lake. And the water hungry liberals out west can pay us for our liquid gold. H20
PS Cleveland Rocks!!!
