Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The trail

Yes, we like Sanford, but have nothing worthwhile to say about his mess - other than to note what they're saying: "He wasn't hiking the Appalachian Trail. He was humping the Argentinian tail."

if he had his affair and dealt with it like a man and not a coward he might have perhaps saved his marriage and his job but he has shown he can't be a governor and "hump" as you say and govern ---simply too much for this Southerner. I think he should resign and catch the first flight to Pategonia. Cut the wife and kids loose cause he has made their life a living hell and he ain't gonna be forgiven no matter what the press reports.
