Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Mecha

I thought it was just an Alaska-style lawn sculpture, but the thing moves, too. Battlefield potential no doubt. Can you picture 30 of these, heavily armed, at the Battle of the Somme? h/t Jonah at NRO

It looks like a mechanical version of Sauron, about to stomp something. Somebody has got way too much time on his hands. But thats how all cool things get made. Somebody was seriously bored [and had a VERY well equipped shop], and made something for fun.

For sheer fun, probably better than a potato gun. What happens if it falls over? Gonna have to hire a tower crane?
