We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
with the Grateful Dead. I don't know the year or place. It begins like this:
Sometimes I feel so low-down and disgusted Can't help but wonder what's happening to my companions Are they lost or are they found, have they counted the cost it'll take to bring down All their earthly principles they're gonna have to abandon ? There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend.
I had a woman down in Alabama She was a backwoods girl, but she sure was realistic She said, Boy, without a doubt, have to quit your mess and straighten out You could die down here, be just another accident statistic There's slow, slow train coming up around the bend.
Well, it's either Foxboro 7/4/87, Giants Stadium 7/12/87, or Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Stadium 7/24/87. Those are the only shows I can trace Slow Train to, except for the tiny club they rehearsed in prior to touring together. Now THAT was a show to see... playlist here:

One doesn't get a playlist like that unless they follow Bob for a tour - this was all one night in the Club Front in San Rafael! Yowza!
I owned/operated a restaurant back in '87 and could not get away to go down to see the Foxboro show, but instead let my staff off for the day so they could go. All I got was a lousy T-Shirt which did not make it through the rinse cycle.
