Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Regarding the President and auto industry: I didn't believe until now that the President actually believes in pixie dust and unicorn poop. I would be okay with automakers producing the cars of tomorrow, except I can't afford the ones they make now. But the cars-of-a-day-when-we've-completely-rebuilt-the-energy-structure-coming-before-we've-actually-got-a-way-to-refuel-or-recharge-them? More likely smaller cars that make progressives feel like they are taking power away from people. Cars are about freedom to choose, to go, to act. Progressives hate that.

He's flown on six planes since the accident, and each flight has gotten "progressively more difficult."
I should hope so. I hope it gets so difficult that this asshat can't enter an airport without people throwing their luggage at him. He should be made to wear a dead goose around his neck.

Progressively more difficult? I'd say, then, his next flight will be the killer crash considering what he just went through was about the last step on that progression. I hope the judge throws his case out and punishes him by making him fly across the U.S. fifty times on fifty different airplanes.

No doubt the terms & conditions,detailing the limits of responsibiliy, liability, etc. are written somewhere and was available to passenger at time of ticket purchase...cut-&-dried. Geese being injested and causing two compressor stalls would be considered an 'act of God'...just as inclement weather.

A goose that wasn't smart enough to get out of the way of a jet airplane, isn't smart enough to be a pilot, Luther.....
....Oh, I see whatcha sayin'.
