We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The Day the Music Died...what a great tribute to that day and Buddy Holly...I first heard Buddy Holly in 1958 and have all of his recordings ....
For my money I'd gladly take the Cold War where just two countries faced one another and MAD was the decider of everyones fate.
The music was great and times were simpler but wishing is just that. So lets go forward and meet the challenges we have now ....no time for going wobbly.
Thanks BD for the clip on the boy from Lubbock,TX ..died way too young at 22.
