We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I'm not sure what it means, but I first read that first link as "There Is No Human Right to Be a Big Mac" and I barely even rolled my eyes at the assumption that somewhere somebody is insisting he identifies as a hamburger.
I had always accepted the 1953 Iran CIA overthrow narrative without thinking about it much. But when one looks at what the CIA actually did - some political cartoons in newspapers already on one side of the conflict, plus some minor rent-a-mob stuff, it's hard to imagine that overthrowing most highschools, never mind a sovereign nation. It was in the CIA's interest to brag "Yeah, we totally did that," and for the defeated factions of Iranians to blame us rather than themselves. Convenient. Just not true.
"Nearly half of America’s Class of 2016 are A students. "
That's terrible. It signifies that the students are being trained to be petty bureaucrats. Those that advance humanity are usually the C students who don't conform to the bureaucratic expectations.
All mankind’s progress has been achieved as a result of the initiative of a small minority that began to deviate from the ideas and customs of the majority until their example finally moved the others to accept the innovation themselves. To give the majority the right to dictate to the minority what it is to think, to read, and to do is to put a stop to progress once and for all.
Mises, Ludwig von (1927). Liberalism (p. 54)
This small minority are not the "good" students. Deep thinkers are what college is suppose to make, but those Deep Thinkers doing their time in K-12 and many college are not the ones who please the teachers.
Deep Thinkers (15 percent) listen carefully, like to figure out things on their own, think deeply when they take tests, and complete their assignments. They do well in school, but not as well as one might expect from a group that is intrinsically motivated.
“Subject lovers are more likely to be white males,” reports Evie Blad in Education Week, while “hand raisers are more likely to be female.” Deep thinkers and emotionals are more likely to have a C average and the “most likely to say they’d considered dropping out.”

I can't link to the article, but I'm going to riff on it anyway. Based on the title, I'd say this person is close to comprehending what is going on in the body politic. I think the word "catalyst" is well chosen.
Whenever I see someone trotting out the name "Rushdoony" I know it's a bunch of nonsense. I doubt one practicing Christian out of a thousand even knows who the guy was, let alone what he might have said. A lot of this comes from an anti-Christian narrative, akin to the anti-Semitic "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," that was being pushed by Rachel Maddow of MSNBC and fellow travelers at other Fake News Media outlets a few years ago. Essentially a secret cabal of "Dominionist" "Rightwing Christian Evangelicals" is seeking to take over the country. On the one hand they are exceptionally sly and cunning; on the other they are profoundly stupid, backward, and irrationally opposed to the good and perfect goals of the Progressive agenda.
