We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

I have hardly seen any this year other than a couple of Hillary!s on Subarus and a couple of Trumps on the pick-ups of workmen
It means something but I do not know what.

It means people do not want their vehicles keyed. Sad commentary on what used to be a civil society.
Halfwise is right - with the number of Trump signs being "stolen" from people's yards I have no doubt that more than the usual crowd of folks would think nothing of damaging other people's property just to make a point.
Further, there have been numerous reports of assaults against folks who go to Trump events - keying a vehicle would be child's play to those folks.
Yes to 1 & 2, I've had several trump sign taken from my front yard, across the street they didn't touch the Sanders or Johnson signs. Sorry I've yet to see a Hillary sign. I don't need to find my truck keyed or my tires flat due to some unhinged democrat.
I've seen more Bernie and Johnson/Weld bumper stickers than I have Trump or Hillary. I feel like there are more old Obama stickers hanging on, too. Not sure what to make of it, especially the lack of Hillary stickers since the typical reasons for avoiding showing allegiance to Trump don't seem to apply. I think it points to a general lack of enthusiasm.
maybe the fact that if you support Trump you are a NAZI (so we have been told) may have something to do with the lack of bumper stickers on cars...so its a branding issue...!
Bernie still rules on the Subarus in Boulder, Hillary is next. Trump is absent except on the vehicles traversing town on the way to the mountains to fish or hunt.
Quite a few Bernie. Not many Hillary, occasional Trump.
Saw a Trump sticker on a Mercedes S class. Hmmmm.
I think the decline in chrome metal bumpers over the last few decades has lead to the overall decline in bumper stickers. Nobody wants to chance stripping off the clear coat or cracking the paint on a flexible fiberglass bumper cover. Old leftie hippie types driving 78 Subarus or rednecks driving beater PU trucks might not worry so much. Back in my youth in the 60s and 70s, more than few hoopties were held together by saving the whales.
It means that conservatives don't want their cars being vandalized by dhimmicrats.
I don't know if there is evidence of any more vandalism than normal this year. I think that the bumper stickers show that people aren't "for" anyone but against the other side. I think this will make the polls particularly unreliable this time. People are asked who would you vote for and they give an answer. Then because they don't like their candidate either, they don't vote at all. A low turnout should make this whole thing a mess.
I've seen more Hs and few Ts. I did see today a fairly recent Jaguar sedan with a Bernie sticker today.
We are so close to the boiling point that most are afraid to put up a yard sign or attach a bumper sticker.
I for one won't chance any of them--in '08 my McCain signs would be ripped down, which really ticked me off. Several weeks later a typical prog looking old fart (birkensrockers, phony, uppity smile) knocks on my side door, I answer it, and he announces he is out "promoting Obama." I started screaming at him to get his communist ass off my property, AND HE JUST STOOD THERE! Now, being new to the whole menopause thing, I was still shocked at the litany of insults I screamed at him, AND HE STILL JUST STOOD THERE! It wasn't until I grabbed my phone, started calling 911, and opened the screen door screaming for him to get the ** off my property and I'm "talking" to the dispatcher that he finally left.
I don't want to go bananas again--and I would--if I actually saw someone stealing a yard sign. And God forbid if I saw someone doing something to my car--one of the few things I have left--I'm afraid all 117lbs. of me would still put them in the hospital.
(After the old prog incident I put up signs on both doors: "Menopausal woman inside, no solicitors, campaigners, canvassers etc., and I'm not joking. Go away.")
One of the things I appreciate about this blog is that the writers are still stuck in the 50s, or may the 70s or 80s or 90s. Back in a time when reasonable people could disagree over matters political and still be friends. I can remember those times too.
There are no yard signs or bumper stickers because America exists in a low-level civil war, but only one side is fighting. To put a Trump sticker on your car or a Trump sign in your yard is to invite violence, to which there will be no redress from the State and to which you cannot respond. The Saxons have not yet begun to hate.
One presumes there are no Hillary signs because her election strategy is to hide until November. From her perspective, the less voters think about the election the better.
My wife and I live in OKC. She is from Virginia Beach, I am from Charlotte. Our only auto stickers will remain OBX.
In OK the Bernie and Hillary type stickers always stick out because they are such a minority (not a single red county in either of Obama's elections). It seems like there are a lot, but only because they stand out.
This is Cruz country and then Carson, and the stickers show it. Not a lot of Trump stickers and most of those seem to be from people who don't always vote. Don't ask me how I can tell because it's just a feeling. I have no doubt that Trump will win in every county in the state, though. In OK even democrats are conservative and Okies HATE the Clintons. It's a true and deep hatred.
another good one is SMOD (sweet meteor of death) Just end it already.
Cthulhu - because all men, women and children are created equal - as PREY
On three occasions people have told me that my flags (American and Marine Corps) are offensive.
You don't have to destroy things just to show us how loyal you are to your ideology.
Just call your opponent a "racist" or a "NAZI".
Since I told my left-wing friends and family members that I'm going to vote for Mr. Trump I've been called a "cretin" and some of it's synonyms. Also a supporter of racism.
I've seen more "Hillary For Prison" bumper stickers than pro-Hill stickers. Makes me smile every time. In my Jersey Shore area, there is a lot of Trump support - signage, bumper stickers, t-shirts, flags - plus a lot of "secret support" when I wear my button. Whispered "right on!" and "Me too!" Silent majority? We'll see.
My neighbor painted "Hill No" in 3' high letters pretty high up on his barn. Other than that I have seen two Trump yard signs but each was within a foot of the respective owner's front door.
Lots of Trump signs all over rural NE Florida and plenty of Trump bumper stickers on pickups. I have yet to see a Harpy sigh.
