We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I found a Massachusetts Pine Tree coin (1700s) on a Wellfleet Harbor beach a few years ago, with a hole through it (for stringing one's money, I suppose), and thought I had found something wonderful. I don't know where I put it.
1. With those cufflinks you never wear
2. Under the small pile of handkerchiefs in your top drawer
3. In that box or jar where you keep old keys and such
4. With those treasured war medals from your fightin' days in World War II
(I'm not sure of your age so I estimated)
For those interested in treasure hunting with a metal detector, I have a Maggie's post on it here. A good excuse to get outdoors, if nothing else.
