We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Very nice, BD! If this pic is current, your Walking Stick is much further along than here in No. Colorado. So glad spring is here!
Also - my sympathies and prayers for the loss of your friends. Blessings.
Are you pruning properly? Try pruning back the wispy tendrils back to six buds from fork in September and then cut those back to three buds in February. Ours never flowered until pruned correctly, it now looks like the one in the photo.
Nice... we had ***snow*** Saturday morning with an overnight low of 31°F. Today, Sunday, was clear with a high of 55° but we've been sweating survival of our tomato plants and just-planted annuals. Guess that's Black Hills weather (and La Nina, not "global climate change/global warming/whatever). Nevertheless beats 80°F+80%RH we experienced all-too-often in VA... cheers chuck
