Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. re "NYT got played": Knowingly advancing a false narrative and suppressing alternative views is NOT "getting played". It is acting as key agent in a disinformation campaign.
The least we could do now is to not let that sleazeball rag off the hook so easily. I would argue that getting played by experts is the norm. While there have been experts throughout history who had no interest or desire in playing anyone the inevitable result of a gaggle of experts is that they use their knowledge and influence to play governments and the people. Perhaps it is just human nature. Most honest and blunt people are shunned and ignored and if that doesn't work they are called racist, sexists and anti-semintists. But the dishonest hide their intent and are careful to not be labeled and are in fact more likely to be the labelers.
QUOTE: Emails Show Fauci Knew From A 2020 Federalist Article That Masking Was Ineffective But Demanded It Anyway . . . The Federalist article in question was published on On Oct. 12, 2020, under the headline “CDC Study Finds Overwhelming Majority Of People Getting Coronavirus Wore Masks.” However, the study doesn't determine whether masks can prevent infections in the general population as there was no control for the general population. People who showed symptoms similar to COVID, but tested negative, comprised the control group. The case group, people who showed symptoms and tested positive, reported more close contacts with someone infected with COVID, particularly within their own household. Masking is not effective in households (we now know due to aerosols), so the authors recommended isolation for those cases. QUOTE: Emails show the NYT got played by COVID ‘experts’ The email shows evasion by Andersen, but it doesn't seem to show that the New York Times was played. The masks were a prime example of governments diving into tyranny. It was a perfect model because it was obvious to everyone who was all in with the tyranny and who was thinking for themselves too much and needed to be bullied into submission. You remember that lone surfer in California who dared to think for himself and enjoy his constitutional rights? The government sent in 7 uniformed bullies to beat him into submission and remove him from the public. THAT is your future. THAT is what the Zach is advocating. THAT is what the little Eichmans want to do to you. The masks WILL be mandated again because it allows the fascists to identify and bully those who think too much for their own good.
OneGuy: The government sent in 7 uniformed bullies to beat him into submission and remove him from the public.
Perhaps you are thinking of the Little Coronado surfer. He wasn't beaten. He wasn't even caught. OneGuy: THAT is your future. For over a century, the government has been forcing people to stop when the light is red. Fascists! The surfer was actually at Windandsea beach in La Jolla.

After all we’ve learned considering how the government played the public with their string of lies, I can’t believe anyone has the energy to defend the boot on the neck.
Especially when a WEF advisor points out that Covid was the model for "Change".
As the authoritarian marxist/fascists continue down that road we will find it littered with "War" as a change agent and "financial collapse" as a change agent. The WEF/BBB/NWO has no compunctions about bailing out their bank properties, bailing out their Ukraine property, or funding their Malthusian population control. Hoss: After all we’ve learned considering how the government played the public with their string of lies, I can’t believe anyone has the energy to defend the boot on the neck.
The mask study doesn't show what the article claims it does. The claim that the New York Times was played isn't demonstrated by the email shown in the article. That doesn't change because of your priors. Rather, it seems you accept the claims because it confirms your preconceptions, not because of the evidence presented. Hard to believe that there’s still argument about masks & virus protection. Figures don’t lie, nor am I a liar by trade or inclination. Here are some facts (not factoids) about the C-19 virus and Surgical masks
(A) The diameter of the C-19 virus has been found to range between 50 Nm to 140 Nm NOTE: Nm = Nano Meter 140 Nm is equal to 0.14 Micrometers. (B) Pore size in the (blue?) surgical masks typically available & used by the public in 2020-2022, per one study, averaged 16.9 micrometers, with a maximum of 146.6 --- I expect the study is reasonably correct on pore size, at least within an order of magnitude (power of 10) COMPARE & CONTRAST: 0.14 micrometers (Size of LARGE virus) -vs- Average mask pore size of 16.9 micrometers. 16.9 / 0.14 = 120 or, the average pore size is some 120 times the size of the LARGE version of the C-19 virus. QUESTION: If you were fishing, using a net, and the size of the holes in your net were 120 times as large as your fish, how many do you think you’d catch? How about only 10 times as large? Still no fish? also, Still no virus particles. Alpha_Omega: COMPARE & CONTRAST: 0.14 micrometers (Size of LARGE virus) -vs- Average mask pore size of 16.9 micrometers.
Except that respiratory viruses are rarely emitted individually, but are found either in droplets or aerosols. Also, it typically takes several dozen viruses to cause infection. Droplets, such as those caused by coughing, are easily stopped by a mask. They also drop out of the air in a meter or two after exhalation. So, masking and social distancing are very effective at stopping infection from droplets. Aerosols tend to stay in the air for much longer, but have far fewer viruses per particle. In crowded, poorly ventilated conditions, such as bars, COVID wards, or within the household, aerosols will saturate the air, so masks will be ineffective. In uncrowded outdoor spaces where people keep social distance, masks will have little effect because the concentration of aerosols is very low. However, in many situations where people find themselves, such as grocery stores, newer public buildings, and other uncrowded places with good ventilation, masks can be effective at reducing the probability of infections and the rate of local spread. The role of aerosols helps explain why previous studies have had differing results when studying the effectiveness of masking. See Cheng et al., Face masks effectively limit the probability of SARS-CoV-2 transmission , Science 2021.

During the American Revolutionary War the Americans had the bad manners to target the English officers. The English did not think that was the correct way to fight a war you should send the enlisted against each other and let them win or lose by attrition. It may be tempting when faced with genuine assholes with guns and backup who choose to use excessive force to arrest or bring you to submission. That is a mistake. Be nice, be passive, be unarmed, do not resist, but plan and work your plan to identify leaders, political and otherwise, and end them quickly and silently and evade capture so you can do it again. Think of the various resistance fronts in Europe, some more successful than others, but all with the same purpose. Don't work in groups, no one to rat you out and no one to give up if you are captured. Just do what must be done to protect your family and country and slip back into the shadows to fight another day. Attack the head of the enemy not the body. Be fast, be efficient, be gone and hide in anonymity.
OneGuy: Be nice, be passive, be unarmed, do not resist, but plan and work your plan to identify leaders, political and otherwise, and end them quickly and silently and evade capture so you can do it again.
So, you recommend murdering elected leaders and police chiefs who enact and enforce masking ordinances. Just so we're clear.

I think this issue was clearly defined in the 30's when the German people, who were in fact good and honest people, choose to allow Hitler to become a tyrant one "ordinance" at a time. Yes I believe that when politicians or government employees break their vow to support the constitution that they should face justice and if the legal system is too corrupt to administer that justice then the people have a responsibility to do it. Make of that what you will. It is what I believe down to my very soul. The video that MF recently posted about the woman who married a Nazi is exactly what I'm talking about. I cannot imagine a higher calling than to put your country and your fellow citizens ahead of tyranny of all kinds. A lot of Nazis were killed by ordinary folks just as a lot of Nazis were killed as a result of spies acquiring and turning over information. Would you "brace" them and dare them to say they would fight tyranny??? I think you would.

That would be silly. They should be fired or jailed and not allowed to work in public service for the rest of their lives. Just as you would fire or jail an accountant who used their position for illegal acts we should fire and jail public servants who violate the constitutional right so the citizens.
Now there are people who precipitated deaths during the pandemic and they should go to jail or face the death penalty. Gov Como comes to mind. It is impossible to believe that he did not know that thousands would die as the result of his policies especially regarding the elderly and nursing home. Fauci to should likely face jail or the death penalty for his actions that made the pandemic worse and caused unnecessary deaths and suffering. Those in the CDC who lied about things as simple as alternative medications that would have saved lives should go to jail.

Utter historical claptrap. In the warfare of the 18th Century, officers of any army (including the Continental Army) were positioned in front of their troops or within their ranks depending on the battalion manoeuvre to be executed. Further, officers were just as likely to be killed as any of their soldiers - and so they were. But there were always going to be far fewer officers (and, for that matter, sergeants) in a regiment, more private soldiers were inevitably going to be killed or wounded in any encounter. Oh, and by the way, they weren't English officers, they were British - as was every American colonist until 3 September 1783.

Historically correct I accept your ignorance of the matter.
Many Americans were riflemen. That is they grew up hunting and making every shot count. The English on the other hand first picked up a gun after being impressed into the army and were taught to shoot "at" the advancing army by direct and explicit order of their officers. Not to shoot specific high value enemy soldiers but to shoot "at" the advancing front. The difference was significant and contributes to the success of the Americans, formerly called British subjects but by that point in history didn't consider themselves subject to the whims of the king. They did target the officers because the English Army's effectiveness was based on coordinated action commanded by an officer and without the officer to tell them when and what they were far less effective. A related factor was that the English army had a decent rifle but not a highly accurate rifle. Some of the Americans carried rifles to match their shooting skills and could indeed pick off English officers in the confusion of battle.

There was no "English Army", only a British one which contained a mix of Englishmen, Scots, Irishmen, Germans and, yes, Americans as well.
American colonists on both sides popped off officers by sharpshooting. But sniping alone doesn't win battles. What ultimately contributed to the success of the Americans was the use of entirely conventional 18th-Century warfare by the Continental and French armies.

Well, you're mostly right.
The British army depended on conscripts from countries it controlled and impoverished. Ireland is an excellent example. "But sniping alone doesn't win battles." Sniping demoralizes and thus affects future actions. The British were far from home and losing officers was a disaster because they were irreplaceable in the short term. The British army was ineffective without their officers but the "colonists" were more liberated and in many cases more effective. "What ultimately contributed to the success of the Americans was the use of entirely conventional 18th-Century warfare by the Continental and French armies." Wrong. If anything it was the conventional warfare that hamstrung the British. What sealed the war in America's favor was GB was fighting at the end of a long resupply line, GB had other important battles elsewhere in the world that was distracting them. And luck/chance. By all rights the colonists should have lost. But the terrain and tenacity where in their favor and England was over extended.

BD and crew, thank you for all you do. Always an enjoyable site. QUOTE: The Bidens: "Stone Cold Crooked" (5) . . . a new prosecutor (Shokin) had been appointed, who was investigating Burisma That is incorrect. Under Shokin, the investigation was stalled, and because of that and general corruption, the EU and US were pushing for Shokin to be fired. QUOTE: in the early 2000s the investment bank JP Morgan Chase in its operations in China had a program of hiring the sons and daughters of powerful Chinese government and business officials in positions of junior analysts Quite different situations. The evidence showed that JP Morgan was explicitly bribing Chinese officials for business, a violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). The evidence currently available is consistent with Hunter Biden just using the Biden name for profit, which is not in itself illegal. Hunter Biden probably did break the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) and possibly other laws. If so, he should be held to account. QUOTE: That form reported on a conversation between an unnamed FBI confidential source and Burisma’s Zlochevsky, where Zlovchevsky clearly admitted that he viewed the payments to Hunter as protection money At this point, the allegation by Zlochevsky, a Kremlin-aligned oligarch on the lam from allegations of corruption, is unsubstantiated. It is really very simple. For example the ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy which by definition means "A logical fallacy is an argument that may sound convincing or true but is actually flawed." and there is a list of logical fallacies that they claim are automatically untrue/flawed by their very nature. BUT, they fail to teach that there is a common and very logical exception and that is when the facts stated are true! Even though they fit the model of a "logical fallacy" they can in fact be 100% accurate. It is common for the partially educated to think "aha! This fits the model my professor taught me for a logical fallacy so therefore it is false and I'm gonna look so smart when I use that phrase "logical fallacy!" Look at me grinning with superiority while I type that in and hit send! YES! An ad hominem comment can in fact be 100% true and simply citing something your professor told you one day when you were not hung over in class does not make it false. The list of logical fallacies should be accompanied by an asterisk to explain this simple and yet seemingly unknown fact. Rule of thumb: If you claim logical fallacy you are still obligated to prove your work.

That is incorrect. Ad hominem doesn't cease to be a fallacy because of the truth of the accusation. Just because a fingerprint expert really did cheat on his wife doesn't devalue his fingerprint expertise. However, if someone asserts expertise, then addressing a lack of expertise is a valid argument. If the expert has an ulterior motive, such as bribery, then addressing the ulterior motive is a valid argument. We do not assert our expertise on the subject, and we are more than willing to "prove {our} work" or change our position based on fact and argument. B. Hammer: It’s not ad hominem, such as in your case, the evidence of your leftward tilt, is quite voluminous. Huh? That's the very definition of ad hominem.
