We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The NCAA's mission and vision statement is as follows:

"...to govern competition in a fair, safe, equitable and sportsmanlike manner, and to integrate intercollegiate athletics into higher education so that the educational experience of the student-athlete is paramount.”

So it is plain that, in the case of the class of female athletes they have corrupted their avowed purpose, abandoned their vision, and are bowing before new gods.

What happened to all the feminists? Having a little trouble putting words together>? Can't quite reach the Solidarity you put on the shelf back on the 70's?

As far as the 'it can't fell good...' bit, I'm sure it feels just fine. Attention-seeking is the primary purpose driving all these mentally-defective people to choose this path to separate them from the herd they are unable to lead. What the girls ought to be doing is standing on their pedestal at the side of the pool in protest and let the clown swim by himself.

The best way to resolve the men participating in women's sports is for the women in those sports to take action. They haven't and thus it continues. They've whined a little but mostly they have accepted this situation. they need to be a lot louder, not be "friends" with the men taking their opportunities from them, to not compete in any event where a man is competing and even to walk off in mass in protest. The ball is in their court.

I do not understand what went through the minds of the leaders of a Democrat government in Australia. They authorized the police to deploy long-range acoustic devices (LRADs) against peaceful protestors. These high energy devices can burn the skin and cause irreparable damage to the brain and other organs. This is something you would expect from China or Russia but not a Western Democracy. You will all remember when Australia took all guns from their "free" citizens. Many people warned them back then that first they take your guns and then they take your freedom. To put it simply; the only reason your government would take your guns is that they intend to do something to you that would cause you to want to shoot them. And there we have it... Now the Australian government has deployed weapons of war, in fact weapons that are outlawed as too inhuman to use in war. against them. And WHY NOT??? It's not as though Australian citizens can fight back, right? They gave up their guns...

OK Canada, tha ball is in your court. Australia will hold your Molson.

In a world where Rachel Dolezal is Black, and Lia Thomas is a woman, the civil rights battles are over, the ERA is moot, and we can now just ignore all the nasty battles over identity and privilege.

RE: Australia, New Zealand and Canada; we now see the end result of gun control. When the citizens surrender their arms, freedom is lost within a couple of years. NEVER give up your guns!

No Canadian citizen has been forced to surrender their arms, unless as the result of unlawful activity (not that there aren't political elements here who would love to see such confiscation).

Also, as in the US, gun registration in Canada is rather moot since only honest, law-abiding people register their weapons. And again, as in the US, most gun crime by a very, very wide margin indeed, is caused by gangs of a certain demographic in cities like Toronto with illegal handguns.

An Elizabeth Warren feminist does not give a hoot about women in sports who got there by merit. Warren got where she is by leveraging her fake political heritage. Combine fake heritage with therapists endowed with hysterical climate change and suddenly the current political disfunctionalism of the marxists is par for the course. Much currency could be saved by closing the social science wing of the university and focusing on STEM rather than the whim of political theater.

While those of us in the "STEM" disciplines (Jeez, I despise that acronym) sometimes wish the Literati would just all go away, you'd be seriously reducing the university. Where else can the Two Cultures rub up against one another and feel superior to "those people" (each other) so conveniently? Where else could the Cloud People and their Wannabees (Dirt People praying to be elevated to the clouds) send their idiot children for a Credential*, needed to fill a square for employment as a corporate cube rat? And finally, what would the university do without the ginormous revenue stream pouring off the barely educable Literati students? (Administrators gotta keep their phoney-baloney jobs, no?)

I'm sorry, Indy, it just won't do.

Well, the social science majors would waste far less money and time by getting their credentials at a vocational/technical school and, if it would be necessary, the STEM students could mentor them in such things as hot, cold, wet, dry so they could get through life without killing themselves or someone else.
