Which led to a NATO commitment to raise defence spending to 2% of GDP on a per country basis by 2024. It is correct to hold the Europeans to this commitment, but it is a serious mistake to threaten lambaste allies or to withdraw from NATO before the commitment date has even been reached.

No, he won't, because he has already surpassed Reagan in the short time he's been in office. That's how I see it.

I loved Reagan...but back in the 80s there was a Democrat-controlled Congress he had to work with, which forced him into some positions that I wish he'd never taken.

Trump seems to know exactly how to move the ball forward without giving up ANY of his position at all. NONE. Just wait until a year from now, it will be monumental how much he has accomplished. And I find out more every day...because the press just doesn't report this stuff.

The newest thing I learned (from a commercial of all things) is that Trump signed a law last August that allowed hearing aids for minor hearing loss to be sold over the counter. This is HUGE. It may not seem that way, but if anyone knows the cost of hearing aids...they will understand. The poor could never hope to afford hearing aids sold by audiologists. They were incredibly expensive.

The ones I saw advertised were affordable, paid for in payments, and were rechargeable...so no batteries. This is what the free market does when it is released from over-regulation. And it will only get better and cheaper from here.

I'm sure there are plenty of other laws & regs of which we have not been informed that will transform this nation.

Before you go praising Trump for signing that law allowing OTC sales of hearing aids, you might want to think about the fact that Trump merely signed the law, he didn't write the law. Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Grassley wrote the law. Does this change your mind about the law or change your mind about Elizabeth Warren and Chuck Grassley? If you dig into it, what the law does is it allows the FDA to establish rules and regulations for OTC sales of hearing aids. Prior to this, OTC hearing aids weren't regulated at all. As long as you didn't call them hearing aids - hearing aids being a medical device - but rather "sound enhancement" or "personal amplifier" devices, these devices have been available to hunters at sporting good stores for years. (Much like the "for tobacco use only" smoking paraphernalia you find at certain convenience stores, wink, wink.) But with the advancement of microelectronics, these things have gotten much better and much cheaper and the medical community ain't having none of that. What you think is Trump loosening the regulation of hearing aid sales is really Elizabeth Warren siccing the FDA on the free market. For the children.

I liked Reagan but his work on trade was not equal to the effort Trump is putting into getting the trade on a level playing field. He threatens and establishes tariffs in order to get rid of tariffs and he also gets trade rules relaxed which is mandatory with China. Nafta will disappear but it is used by Mexico and Canada as a funnel to bring trade into their countries by those outside who want tariff free entry into the US. That is unacceptable. Subsidies will also be attacked. Dropping the corporate tax rate in the US also helps US corps compete against the European Vat tax setup. We might finally get job immigration as opposed to job emigration that was so prevalent under previous administrations.

Re Article 3 and Supreme Court Judges, it is the one part of the Constitution where our Founders got it wrong. Judge Robert Yates, writing under the nom de guerre of Brutus, who saw with complete clarity the problems with Article III. In Anti-Federalist 78-79, he wrote:

"The judges in England are under the control of the legislature, for they are bound to determine according to the laws passed under them. But the judges under this constitution will control the legislature, for the supreme court are authorised in the last resort, to determine what is the extent of the powers of the Congress. They are to give the constitution an explanation, and there is no power above them to set aside their judgment. The framers of this constitution appear to have followed that of the British, in rendering the judges independent, by granting them their offices during good behavior, without following the constitution of England, in instituting a tribunal in which their errors may be corrected; and without adverting to this, that the judicial under this system have a power which is above the legislative, and which indeed transcends any power before given to a judicial by any free government under heaven."

Juice is not healthy. The biggest mistake in the article is that somehow magically sugar causes diabetes. It would be equally correct to declare that breathing causes pneumonia. Diabetes is a genetic condition that you are born with. It is not the same in everyone so it seems to appear or cause problems at different times for various people. Because of this it seems to afflict the diabetic at some point in life and it is not totally illogical to believe something in their environment caused it. After all if you suddenly discover you are diabetic at age 25 and for the first 24 years of your life you saw no symptoms than by golly you "caught" it from something. And since it is an intolerance of sugar/carbs than your sugar consumption must have caused it. If only you had not eaten candy as a child or drunk colas you would never have "caught" diabetes. The MSM and special interest groups make it all worse by muddying the waters with suggestions that fruit juice is bad for you and your children.
