Good video. 'Transtrenders' are the latest thing now -- this is a group mostly made up of teenage girls, many of whom are struggling in some other way (depression, on the autism spectrum, gay, socially isolated), who are wanting to become boys. It's a social identity now for troubled teenage girls to pretend to claim that they are 'really' boys and also to claim the sympathy and understanding that most folks have for trans people. In exchange for these claims, the troubled, isolated girls are treated as 'brave' and given special privileges.

The vast majority of them had completely gender-normal childhoods and didn't 'discover' the fact that they had somehow been born into the wrong body until they spent countless hours on the internet. This phenomenon has exploded in the last 10 years but it is only starting to get noticed.

In my opinion, these behaviors are akin to stolen valor. Should be interesting to see what happens over the next decade as these confused young women start detransitioning in large numbers, and hopefully critiquing the current standard of care in the medical community which is to put 16-year-olds on hormones.
