We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Sen. Tom Cotton: Clinton’s Unprotected Emails Got Iranian Nuclear Scientist Executed
Clinton said: "He's free to go, he was free to come, these decisions are his alone to make."
That is incredibly naive. Hillary knew when she created her illegal private server that she was breaking the laws and putting state secrets at risk. We may never know how many people Hillary got killed by these actions. I have no doubt that the Iranians were given copies of her emails by the Russians implicating Amiri. This may be the biggest dump of state secrets ever in history and would make Hillary the biggest spy for the Russians in history. I suspect that she got payments for some of these top secret releases. She may well be the worst traitor since Benedict Arnold or Judas.
IdahoBob: Hillary knew when she created her illegal private server that she was breaking the laws and putting state secrets at risk.
Career investigators at the FBI disagree.
IdahoBob: I have no doubt that the Iranians were given copies of her emails by the Russians implicating Amiri.
There's no evidence that the Iranians had access to the emails. There's no evidence that the emails implicated Amiri.
Actually the FBI agreed that her private server system was incredibly risky and was hacked and she put thousands of secret emails on it which Russia now has. We may never know how many people she killed with this criminal act.
But I can see from your response that you aren't naive you are stupid. Can't fix stupid...
IdahoBob: Actually the FBI agreed that her private server system was incredibly risky ...
Yes, Comey called it "extremely careless", but not something any reasonable prosecutor would bring to trial.
IdahoBob: and was hacked and she put thousands of secret emails on it which Russia now has.
That is false. Comey said there was no evidence of a hack, though it is possible it was hacked and left no evidence.
IdahoBob: We may never know how many people she killed with this criminal act.
Most of the so-called classified emails were relatively innocuous. The one example provided, concerning Amiri, doesn't support the claim.
He did indeed say “not something any reasonable prosecutor would bring to trial” which almost immediately most reasonable prosecutors disagreed with him AND pointed out that was not for him to decide. Clearly Comey was threatened/bought/biased and IMHO should have resigned after this terrible act of treachery.
“there was no evidence of a hack”. After half a dozen people wiped the hard drive there was indeed no evidence. However, Clinton’s lawyer clearly and obviously broke the law destroying the evidence why wouldn’t the FBI have passed that evidence on to a reasonable prosecutor?
“classified emails were relatively innocuous”. Obviously you don’t know that. Even FBI officials had to apply for top secret clearance to be able to read them. But to actually say that the classified emails were relatively innocuous is incredibly stupid/careless/reckless on your part.
IdahoBob: He did indeed say “not something any reasonable prosecutor would bring to trial” which almost immediately most reasonable prosecutors disagreed with him AND pointed out that was not for him to decide.
Most? We'd like to see support for that claim. Was there are a poll? Or do you only watch Fox News?
IdahoBob: Clearly Comey was threatened/bought/biased and IMHO should have resigned after this terrible act of treachery.
So to support your claim, you are reduced to arguing that the unanimous agreement to not recommend indictment means that the career investigators were bribed or threatened. Perhaps, the Clintons have the investigator's children in an undisclosed location. Don't you see how bent your position is to require such unevidenced mangling of the truth?
IdahoBob: After half a dozen people wiped the hard drive there was indeed no evidence.
The hard drive wasn't wiped, and the FBI has sent thousands of recovered emails to the State Department.
IdahoBob: Obviously you don’t know that.
There were only three with classified portion markings, but all three were missing headers. The State Department says two were marked in error, and were not actually classified. The third is not known. Perhaps it has the nuclear codes. This is where you can insert truthiness in place of facts.
Many of the conversations that were later classified included subjects such as drone attacks in Pakistan, hardly a state secret, but something the State Department classifies nonetheless.
Email is a necessary part of the modern world, and procedures are not keeping up with technology. For instance, Colin Powell had emails that were retroactively classified on his personal AOL account.
That's not what career FBI investigators said. You consistently write untruths.
DrTorch: That's not what career FBI investigators said
Comey told the House Oversight Committee that the decision not to recommend an indictment was unanimous among the investigative team.
Sam L: I'd call that "Blaming the victim".
No. Amiri claimed the U.S. was holding him. Clinton's statement contradicts that claim.
A Month of Islamic Terror
The vast majority of victims were Muslims. There's an internecine war going on, with attacks on civilians a major mode of warfare.
Z: The vast majority of victims were Muslims.
And that's significant because...?
mudbug: And that's significant because...?
It supports the claim that most of violence is due to internecine warfare.
Meanwhile, Bodo separatists attacked a marketplace.
A distinction without a difference. They're killed for basically the same reason we are - they aren't "Islamic" enough.
mudbug: A distinction without a difference.
We're sure that's very comforting to the families of Muslims who were killed by Muslim terrorists.
mudbug: They're killed for basically the same reason we are - they aren't "Islamic" enough.
It depends on the group. Many groups, such as the Taliban, object to the influence of the West, their mores and their military interventions. Other groups, such as ISIS, really do intend on eliminating anyone who does not hold to their radical ideology. Some terrorist groups aren't Islamic.
"The lasting maritime law implications of Mr. Klinghoffer's death is that no cruise line can realistically claim that the hijacking of a cruise ship by a terrorist organization is 'unforeseeable' - given the vivid memories of that terrible day twenty five years ago on the Achille Lauro."
And I would add that, thanks to the current wave of violent Islamic extremism, there is pretty well no event or activity anywhere in which a sudden terrorist attack could be considered "unforeseeable" now, whether an Oktoberfest, a disco, a marathon race, a soccer match, a rock show, a drink at a café, a holiday celebration, a retirement party, sightseeing in the city, a train trip, a day at the beach, attending Mass or just going to work at the office.
"A Month of Islamic Terror"
Most victims by far of Islamic terrorism do continue to be Muslims.
Sadly, I am not at all optimistic that Muslims as a whole - rather than a few brave and outspoken individuals - are confronting this scourge which is painting them and their religion collectivity in the worst possible light.
Instead, denial, obfuscation and the lamest, phoniest claim of all: "Islamophobia".
Colleges should end the hate studies classes and instead of mandatory diversity classes they should have mandatory algebra and calculus classes. Is it to much to insist that any and all degrees require these basic and simple college math requirements? The colleges should maintain a safe learning environment and demonstrations and activists encouraging violence is not a safe learning environment. The colleges should remove students who take part in these activities and seek legal action against non-students who do these things on school property.
Algebra and calculus are hard, and the current crop of college students (excluding science and engineering majors) don't do hard.

How The Left Is Weaponizing The American Legal System
The point is not for liberals to “win” any particular lawsuit or legal enforcement so much as it is to use lawsuits and the law as the weapons in and of themselves. The process is the punishment. And in most of these cases the punishment is very severe. That’s the idea.

Is Something Wrong With Hillary: Bizarre Behavior, Seizure Allegations Raise Doubts About Her Health | Zero Hedge
And so, questions about Hillary's health remain, especially after photos emerged over the weekend showing Hillary demonstrating unease while climbing stairs.
This has led to further speculation about the identity of a man, allegedly part of her secret service, who some has been dubbed as her "handler", a person who is supposedly her personal doctor
As Mike Cernovich points out, here’s a picture of Hillary’s handler before he joined Secret Service. He’s in casual attire.
We saw this first “doctor” during Hillary’s recent freeze-up. As the following captures show, Hillary’s handler appears always ready to reassure Hillary, moving Secret Service Agents out of the way, urging her to "keep talking". According to Cernovich "this handler is not an ordinary SS agent."
Further adding to the mystery, Cernovich also points out - in an unconfirmed report - that the so called "handler" appears to carry a Diazepam pen.
The device in question is a Diazepam auto-injector pens are used for for Acute Repetitive Seizures. Diazepam is one of the medications prescribed for patients who experience recurrent seizures.
feeblemind: Is Something Wrong With Hillary
I don't know about her health, but there is definitely something wrong with someone who incapable of telling the truth. She even lies when it wouldn't hurt her to tell the truth (see Bosnia sniper story).
Vietnam: "Every time I witnessed him recalling memories of the Vietnam War, I couldn’t help admiring and yet pitying my grandfather, a soldier risking his own life and sacrificing everything he had for the ideology he believed in."
