We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
She's a youthful 67 year-old now. The stars of our youths are grannies and grandpas. It's kinda strange. Thank goodness, we remain forever young, don't we all?
"Love is an angel disguised as lust
Here in our bed until the morning comes."
One of the sexiest songs about true love ever recorded, and one of the few authentically romantic rock ballads. The only other one that comes close IMHO is Pat Benatar's "Shadows Of The Night," with the line that gets me every time:
"And now the hands of time are standing still
Midnight Angel, won't you say you will?"

Good music, and amazingly I've had this very song on my mind. Nice.
No, we're old. I was an old little kid, and I haven't gotten any younger. Haven't your children mentioned this to you?

I've always liked Patti Smith's music. "Dancing Barefoot" and "Frederick" (about her now deceased husband, Fred "Sonic" Smith) are 2 of my favorites. Also, she partly grew up in the town where I was born, Woodbury, NJ. Sadly (to me) she's been a long time leftist radical for a long time. Nobody's perfect.
Well I'm glad she's still around and not OD'd ... but if this clip is representative, she has lost her lungs ... and excuse me if I find a senior citizen doing old songs about sex rather, um, odd. I'll keep her CD's and enjoy those. I really like those.
